In the spirit of ohana, letâ€™s get together and recapture Lanaâ€™i camp life! Fellowship with former neighbors from Stable Camp, Federation Camp, Kaumalapau Harbor Camp, the Ranch, blocks 30, 35, 22,17, etc. Block/Camp Tent sites. Set up time: Saturday, Dec. 5, 7:00 a.m. Please provide your own tent/chairs for neighborhood hangout. (optional) *Set up a Mom/Pop Store in your tent. Good time to sell holiday crafts. Donated desserts and snacks will be gratefully accepted and will go on sale under Taste of Lanaâ€™i. Patronize the concession stand for lunch.
*In lieu of a vendorâ€™s assessment, a voluntary donation made payable to Kula Sand, LLC, affiliate of the Lanai Alumni and Community Association, will be appreciated.
To adequately prepare for the gathering, please download and send in the completed sign-up form. Direct inquiries to Rosita Hueu, Event Coordinator at rvhueu [at] aol [dot] com. Lanaâ€™i Contact Persons are Butch Gima, Susana Kincaid, Linda Degamo. Emcee will be Nelson Tamashiro, telling stories will be Kepa Maly, Herbert Watanabe, and hopefully others. We welcome your suggestions. Program timeline/activities subject to change without notice as we are still formulating plans.

Musical entertainment: John Kauwenaole, Aâ€™A Mele
Ethnic dances: Hawaiian, Filipino, Japanese
Martial arts demonstration: Escrima by Robert Garciaâ€™s students
Giving recognition to Lanaâ€™i Living Treasures
Lanaians who have impacted the community; are exemplary role models
Lanaians from various sectors: business, educational, civic, cultural, medical, military, etc. who have made significant contributions to society
Recognizing old time and current retailers (or their business representatives/ohana)
Please bear in mind the time constraints so introductions will be brief. Person being recognized has to be present at the event.
